Here is where you can find all the information I have about the Casting Call I am doing for a Wheel of Time movie.

Introductory Post – In which I lay down the ground rules on how this Casting Call is going to work.

Tier 3, Part 1 – 2010/12/09 – The first eight characters being casted.

Tier 3, Part 2 – 2010/12/18 – Part 2 includes a correction (forgot Amathera originally) and some new cast.

Tier 3, Part 3 – 2011/01/14 – Part 3 has a swap of my Berelain cast, and some new ones as well.

Tier 3, Part 4 – 2011/01/21 – Part 4, eight more.

Tier 3, Part 5 – Four favorite characters (and 2 very un-favorites) in one post. Yippee!

Tier 3, Part 6 – The first ‘non-human’ gets casted… he (un?)surprisingly looks a lot like a human.

Tier 3, Part 7 – Another non-human casted today, plus a couple (like Liandrin and Juilin) that I’m particularly proud of.

Tier 3, Part 8 – A favorite actor in a least-favorite character role, plus you can never go wrong with Paul Giamatti in the movie!

Tier 3, Part 9 – Lots of big names this week.

Tier 3, Part 10 – Likely a controversial choice or two this week, let me know what you think!

Tier 3, Part 11 – The final part of Tier 3.

Tier 3 Wrap-up and vote for Berelain – Berelain is now played by Cindy Sampson. Stop HARASSING ME! :p

Tier 2, Part 1 – We get started on Tier 2 with quite a few Forsaken. Fun, fun!

Tier 2, Part 2 – A pretty boy gets his wings!

Tier 2, Part 3 – Beware partial nudity!

Tier 2, Part 4 – Almost done, a few nasties in this week’s episode.

Tier 2, Part 5 – Our Tier 2 finale, which is conveniently not littered with fish metaphors!

Tier 1 – Elayne and Perrin – Generally-considered boring characters to awesome actors to portray them.

Tier 1 – Ishamael and Lanfear – A day of evil, with some controversy on the Lanfear casting. Read the comments to help out!

Tier 1 – Nynaeve and Mat – A casting call of major characters with very little controversy. I’ll admit, it’s because I’m awesome.

Tier 1 – Moridin and Moiraine – A big art dilemma this week, but the choices still rocked! (According to me)

Tier 1 – Egwene and Rand – Well… that’s it. Not going to say anything. Just read it and let me know what you think! It’s been fun!

Hi there! I was just wondering if you are taking suggestions also for characters not yet posted? 🙂

    1. TankSpill Says:

      Hi Katie,
I have most of the characters well planned out – I would say there are 10 – 15 total I’m not 100% sure about yet, but I would love to hear your suggestions, you may come up with some great ideas I didn’t think of!
      Thanks for reading!

  2. Lisa Says:

You could summarize your picks on 🙂

  3. Fritz Says:

Can’t wait to see Mandy Patinkin as Thom. I know maybe the hair isn’t right, and maybe he’s not old enough, but I think the breadth of this character requires more than a physical appearance match-up. But really, who else can combine rogue-ish swashbuckler, debonair singing voice and fatherly kindness all into one role?

  4. Nic Says:

Really hoping you’re not fully bailing on casting call. It would be very disappointing if you did. So onto the next one please!!

    1. TankSpill Says:

Nope, not at all! The next post will be up around noon-ish (EST) tomorrow (Friday). And thanks for your kind comments in your previous post!

      1. Nicole Says:

YAY! I’m so happy to see Minnie Driver as Elaida! That was my top pick too 🙂 Can’t wait to see how many more character/actor picks we have in common! I REALLY want to know who you have for Moiraine…I’m stuck on Kate Beckinsale but not sure it fits perfectly. I’ll bet you’ll make me wait huh? lol It’s driving me nuts XD

      2. TankSpill Says:

I will definitely make you wait, but I will give you a hint: It’s not Kate Beckinsale. 😉

  5. Nicole Says:

lol sounds good. I bet it’s worth it 🙂

  6. Panda Claws Says:

I love it, best I’ve read so far (:

When will the next be up?

  7. Mike Says:

Thanks for letting me know what you thought of my list. I’ll return the favor after your done. Sorry, I just want it to be concise and in one long comment!

  8. Franz Worcester Says:

My favorite casting by far is putting in Cloris Leachman. Right on the Money. I feel like she could walk in and read her lines and be perfect

  9. Pomps Says:

Don’t you have a master list of the entire cast you put together? I think that would be kinda cool. I could put that in a worksheet and add my own choices for those I don’t agree with.

    1. TankSpill Says:

I don’t have a master list yet, but sometime soon (before I die), I plan on doing a couple small updates to the site and then create a master list, that I then hope to update once a year as new, exciting actors emerge.

Thanks so much for reading this blog, and I know you didn’t agree with everything, but I appreciate your comments and the fact that you took such an interest in it!

      1. Pomps Says:

Took an interest in it? Dude, I’m totally invested into it! I make sure to check in every so often just to see if there are any new comments from other readers. Totally enjoying it! Thanks for taking the time to do this and for posting it! Keep me posted on that master list 🙂

You dd a really great job with this. I applaud your search for the perfect fit rather than the popular. You opened my eyes to new ideas for characters I hadn’t even considered! (Kathy Nijimy is brilliant for Verin, and I love your choice for Grendael too. I always picture Late Winslet in that part). Again, awesome job!
